Rocktail Beach Camp is situated at Manzengwenya in the northern reaches of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a World Heritage Site situated in northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Just offshore from the camp is the Maputaland Marine Reserve which provides a sanctuary for its prolific marine life and spectacular coral landscape. This underwater experience allows for world-class diving that is considered amongst the finest in the world, while also providing extraordinary snorkelling encounters with huge shoals of fish, dolphins, turtles and whales.

With access to nearly 40 kilometres of quiet, unspoilt sandy beaches, the camp offers one of the best diving and beach experiences in South Africa. Rocktail Beach Camp lies within the coastal forest, 700 metres inland from the warm Indian Ocean.

Its 12 en-suite chalets with private verandahs are tucked away in the indigenous forest, some with ocean views. The main area of the camp offers an inviting lounge, dining room and bar, as well as a wonderful wooden deck and pool area, where meals can be enjoyed outside.

A fully accredited dive centre provides scuba diving and snorkelling activities offshore. Other activities, some of which incur an extra cost, include surf fishing, quad-biking, birding and horse-riding as well as guided drives to various sites and the surrounding community in the area. Walks through the coastal forest or along the beach and swimming in the Indian Ocean are all part of the experience.
