Sultan Palace is the first exclusive Relais & Chateaux hotel, situated on the south-east coast of Zanzibar Island, where you can find the most beautiful sandy beaches just 60 kilometers from the airport.

The 15 flower named and "Nautilus" shell shaped cottages are elegantly furnished with local antique furniture including the carved Omanite doors and Zanzibari beds with hand painted tiles decorating their wooden headpiece.

All cottages are air conditioned and have private verandas ,mini -bar, safe, ceiling fan and bathrooms with shower, bidet and a hairdryer.

The main Clubhouse with its splendid wooden terraces facing the ocean welcomes guests into a bright parquet lounge. The Arabic terrace is a place to relax and enjoy the aromatic spiced coffee or tea whilst gentle winds blow from the ocean.

Meals are served in the local beach "Banda's" during lunch and candle lit romantic dinners on the terraces of the Club House offering scrumptious fresh seafood and local varieties.

You may enjoy swimming and snorkeling in the lagoon or take local boat trips along the canal, have a relaxing massage on the beach or mountain bike to the nearby village. Our excursions to the nearby Mangrove swamp in the "Ngalawa" have become a favorite activity for guests.

Different excursions including Blue & Green Safaris can be arranged from the Hotel.

The 15 castellated cottages are individually designed and divided into:
· 5 Imperial suites of 180 sq. mts overlooking the Ocean with 2 Queen sized beds, a luxurious bathroom containing twin showers and wash basins, a large wardrobe and a private garden with a hammock.
· 4 Ocean suites of 70 sq. mts overlooking the Ocean with single shower and a double bed..
· 6 Garden suites of 150 sq. mts overlooking the luxurious tropical garden with scents of Citronella , Frangipane and other exotic plants. Either with one double or twin beds.
