ACCOMMODATION INFORMATION

Voyager Safari Camp
Situated in the shadows of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, Voyager is the ideal spot for a few days break in an often hectic safari itinerary. Voyager lies on the banks of the Tsavo River, which is fed by the snows that form on the peaks of Mount Kili. The flow of water creates natural swamplands within the often dry African bushlands. Bird life is prolific and ranges from rare migrants like the cinnamon-chested bee-eater to the magnificent fish eagle. The ever present water ensures an excellent diversity of game such as elephant, zebra and lion and the hippo of Mzima springs. The more unusual, shy, nocturnal animals may be seen on exciting night drives. This is a paradise, both for the wildlife and for those who come to observe nature at its very best.

At Voyager a maximum of forty guests are accommodated in twin bedded tents. Each tent has its own bathing facilities and overlooks the Tsavo River. The ambience is rustic, comfortable and reminiscent of a bygone era. The well-stocked bar, the dining room and verandah area have been constructed from indigenous timber to blend with the landscape. Evenings can be spent in privacy on your own verandah, or with others around a roaring camp fire. The food is excellent. Breakfast is traditional and both lunch and dinner are presented as a smorgasbord, where the choice is wonderful. Voyager is a holiday from real life.
