Day 1 Arusha
Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport. Met and assisted by a tour representative. Transfer to Moivaro Lodge at the foot of Mt Meru. Today relax and recover from your flight. You may also wander through the nearby coffee plantation and visit a local village closely associated with the lodge. Overnight at Moivaro Coffee Plantation Lodge & Estate (BB )

Day 2 Lake Natron
After breakfast, we set off towards Lake Manyara and then onto the spectacular Lake Natron Basin, an important wetland of international importance and a RAMSTAR site. A significant part of the lake surface is covered by an evaporative salt crust, which dissolves only during the rainy season. It is the only regular breeding area for 2-4 million lesser flamingo in East Africa. Lunch is taken en-route to our permanent camp near the lake. Dinner and overnight at your Tented Camp (L-DBB)

Day 3 Lake Natron
Today we explore the lake shores early morning and late evening and witness an amazing sunrise and sunset. Meals and overnight at your Tented Camp (LDBB)

Day 4 Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, we drive past Ol Donyo Lengai, an active volcano , across the Salei plains and finally to the western Serengeti. The drive reveals spectacular scenery and wildlife. Meals and overnight at your Tented Camp ( LDBB )

Day 5 Serengeti National Park
After morning game drive , we return to the camp for breakfast, then continue for a full -day game drive taking our lunch by a river or under shady acacia trees. Our game drives are in remote areas. Meals and overnight at your Tented Camp (L-DBB)

Day 6 Serengeti National Park
Today take 3 wonderful game drives exploring different areas of the vast North-Western Serengeti plains which attract over a million wildebeest and zebra between June and September. Meals and overnight a your Tented Camp (LDBB)

Day 7 Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After a relaxed breakfast, we conduct a game drive all the way to Olduvai Gorge Museum. Later we ascend the spectacular Ngorongoro Highlands and spend a night near the Ngorongoro Crater. Meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Farmhouse or similar (LDBB)

Day 8 Lake Manyara National Park
An early breakfast, followed by a descent into the game rich crater for an eventful game drive. We return to the lodge for lunch and then drive to our permanent camp close to Lake Manyara. Relax in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at your Tented Camp (L-DBB)

Day 9 Lake Manyara National Park
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives. An optinal canoe safari, village visit or circling tour is available in between game drives. Meals and overnight at your Tented Camp (LDBB)

Day 10 Tarangire National Park
Drive to Tarangire Safari Lodge overlooking Tarangire River and explore the stunning woodlands and plains of Tarangire National Park for elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo and spectacular birdlife. Meals and overnight at Tarangire Safari Lodge (LDBB)

Day 11 Tarangire National Park
Full day in Tarangire with morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at Tarangire Safari Lodge (LDBB)

Day 12 Departure
After a relaxed breakfast, we drive back to Arusha and later to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back home. Alternatively, you may extend to Zanzibar for a beach holiday.

ACCOMMODATION INFORMATION

Moivaro Coffee Plantation Lodge & Estate
Just outside of Arusha lies a very pretty coffee estate with a relaxed and friendly ambience, a wonderful relationship with the local villagers and glorious views of stunning Mount Meru. A large, airy main building is backed by a long, broad verandah with views over the lush gardens, full of bright flowers and fruiting trees that surround the whitewashed cottages in which travelers are accommodated. Mount Meru rises dramatically in the background. In the evenings the garden is beautifully lit.

The hotel has an excellent relationship with the little nearby village of Moivaro and guests are welcome to visit the village. You may see the blacksmith and the carpenter at work and the brewing of the local banana beer. The sampling of the latter often extends the visit by quite some time and tends to take the visit out of the realms of the cultural and into the social!

Meals at Moivaro major in fresh ingredients simply prepared. The coffee is grown on the estate and vegetables come from their own vegetable garden. The rooms at Moivaro are simple yet stylish. White walls, floating mosquito nets, super-efficient shower heads the size of dinner plates and really comfortable beds mean that all bodily needs are superbly taken care of.
