Day 1 Lake Manyara
Arrival Kilimanjaro Airport, met and assisted by a tour representative. Transfer to Arusha for lunch. Afternoon drive to the Lake Manyara National Park, which apart from its abundant bird life, is known for its tree-climbing lions. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Hotel (LDBB)

Day 2 Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge
After breakfast, depart for morning game drive, then drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world. Its enduring charm stems from its overwhelming physical beauty and the abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. Arrive for lunch at your lodge. Afternoon at leisure. Meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge (LDBB)

Day 3 Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge
After breakfast, depart for half-day tour of the crater floor. Return to your lodge for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge (LDBB)

Day 4 Serengeti National Park - Seronera Wildlife Lodge
Breakfast at your lodge, then drive to the Serengeti National Park, undoubtedly the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and the greatest concentration of plains game anywhere. En route visit the Olduvai Gorge site of archeological findings, where traces of pre-historic man dating back to 3.5 million years ago have been discovered. Arrive at your lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive until sunset. Meals and overnight at Seronera Wildlife Lodge (LDBB)

Day 5 Serengeti National Park - Seronera Wildlife Lodge
All day spent in the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at Seronera Wildlife Lodge (LDBB)

Day 6 Tarangire - Tarangire River Camp
Breakfast at your lodge, then drive from to the Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River, which rises in Tanzania's central highland. The river lures thousands of plains game to its banks. Lunch en route at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge. Afternoon game drive en route to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire River Camp (LDBB)

Day 7 Arusha
Early morning game drive, breakfast at your lodge, then drive to Arusha and you will be dropped off at your hotel or Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward flight back home. A tour representative will reconfirm your flights and assist at check-in.

ACCOMMODATION INFORMATION

Lake Manyara Hotel
Perched on the edge of the escarpment overlooking Lake Manyara the views from the lodge are outstanding. At this height the air is much fresher than in the valley below making this an ideal place to relax. The Ngorongoro may be reached in just under two hours driving making this a suitable place to stay on a short safari. Facilities include fine gardens, bar, restaurant and a swimming pool.

Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge
Located on the crater rim Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge has 75 rooms. The altitude of 7,500 feet means that it can be chilly here in the evening and night, and the hotel has central heating. The lounge and observation deck have views directly into the crater.

Seronera Wildlife Lodge
Seronera Wildlife Lodge is situated in the central part of the Serengeti. It has 75 double rooms. The building was constructed in the 1960's almost entirely of wood and glass around a natural "kopjes" or rocky outcrop. The spacious bar and restaurant have views over the plains and there is an open terrace outside from which to view the sunset.
