This old colonial house was built in 1933 in the Tudor style. Now completely refurbished to the highest standards and entirely in keeping with its history, it is set off by a lovely traditional English garden and is furnished with turn of the century English and French furniture. The rooms are spacious with en suite bathrooms.
The house has two dining room, including an outdoor one with stunning views to the lake. There is a drawing room where lectures can be presented, a sitting room and a library with a fascinating selection of African and contemporary books. Not far from the house stands a 20 metre swimming pool and a jetty on each lake; one with a classic speed boat, aperfect setting for fishing and water sports, the other on the small lake, has a 4.5m sailing boat ideal for sundowners.
The cuisine served is of the highest order. Fresh organic vegetables from the Estate and produce sourced from local farms are turned into magical meals by the French manager, who is passionate about food and cooking.
  
Located on the shores of Lake Naivasha and overlooking Lake Oloiden, the Nderit Estate is home to hippo, giraffe, antelope, zebra, leopard and a host of smaller mammals. It is also the natural habitat of over 300 species of bird and is thus a paradise for naturalists, both professional and amateur. The Estate forms an important migration corridor for the game of the surrounding 25000 acres of untouched Africa.
A unique wildlife experience, Nderit is also a Private Health Retreat offering holistic packages for mind, body and soul. A variety of wonderfully revitalising therapies and treatments draw on philosophies and practices from India, the Far East and the Western World.
