This old colonial house was built in 1933 in the Tudor style. Now completely refurbished to the highest standards and entirely in keeping with its history, it is set off by a lovely traditional English garden and is furnished with turn of the century English and French furniture. The rooms are spacious with en suite bathrooms. The house has two dining room, including an outdoor one with stunning views to the lake. There is a drawing room where lectures can be presented, a sitting room and a library with a fascinating selection of African and contemporary books. Not far from the house stands a 20 metre swimming pool and a jetty on each lake; one with a classic speed boat, aperfect setting for fishing and water sports, the other on the small lake, has a 4.5m sailing boat ideal for sundowners. The cuisine served is of the highest order. Fresh organic vegetables from the Estate and produce sourced from local farms are turned into magical meals by the French manager, who is passionate about food and cooking.
