Kalahari ~ Classic 4 Camp

San Camp is situated deep in the Kalahari, right on the edge of the main Makgadikgadi saltpan. Here, white canvas blends into the salty expanse and the only colors are the blue of the sky, the white of the salt and the golden-yellow of the grasslands. San is smaller and has a slightly more rustic feel to it than Jack's Camp. It is also a little more traditional, with a simple mess tent in which to dine on the edge of the saltpan.

The camp accommodates twelve people in six large, walk-in tents of white canvas, each with awe-inspiring views onto the saltpans. Bathrooms are en-suite with bucket showers and bush toilets. Activities are aimed at guests gaining a wonderful holistic understanding of the Kalahari and all its inhabitants. They include game drives in 4x4 vehicles to view the incredible seasonal wildebeest and zebra migrations, amongst other wildlife, and quad biking over the saltpans in the dry winter months.

In addition there are walks with San (Bushman) guides, mornings spent with the personalities of the desert, the meerkats and visits to historic baobab trees.
