Chobe National Park offers a great diversity of landscapes ~ from riverine forests to floodplains. Chobe Chilwero is located on the border of the Chobe National Park, just minutes from Kasane and about 1.5 hours from Victoria Falls. This idyllic location provides easy access to the Okavango Delta, Victoria Falls and the Caprivi Strip of Namibia. Chilwero, literally means a "place of high view", and accurately describes this superb lodge, which rises above the Chobe River and offers unparalleled panoramic views across the flood plains and into Namibia.

Chobe Chilwero has 9 double and 6 twin luxury cottages, all of which are designed to blend in with the topography and natural vegetation of the surrounding area. The cottages measure 61sq meters and each has its own en-suite bathroom with a large sunken bath, indoor and outdoor showers, private garden, "sala", mosquito nets, ceiling fans and air-conditioning.

The main public area includes an elegant lounge and dining room, which are linked to spectacular outdoor viewing decks. The well-stocked wine cellar is temperature controlled and houses a variety of wonderful South African and European wines. This splendid lodge also offers a swimming pool, library, curio shop and an e-mail centre.

Game viewing from Chobe Chilwero is completely flexible. The highly qualified guides lead game drives in customized open 4 x 4 vehicles and specially adapted safari motor boats. Sundowner Cruises are truly spectacular for sunset photographs over the Chobe River. Fishing excursions are also available. They can also arrange a day trip to visit Victoria Falls for guests if desired.
