Xigera Camp is a waterland paradise situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta in the Moremi Game Reserve. Permanent year-round water allows an unparalleled variety of activities such as guided walks, mokoro trips, game drives and power boat outings - and being the only camp in the area ensures total privacy. Nestled in a magnificent riverine forest, Xigera consists of ten luxuriously furnished tented rooms each with en-suite facilities and an outdoor shower.

All are raised off the ground on wooden decks, offering a superb view of the seasonal floodplain and waterhole. Meals and evening drinks are enjoyed under the thatch of the raised lounge, bar and dining area overlooking a permanently flowing channel - or under the stars in a traditional African boma. Guests are often treated to clse-up views of lion, hyena or leopard as they make use of the footbridge that connects Xigera's island to the next. Xigera is a delight for birdwatchers, with Pel's Fishing Owl, African Skimmer, Slaty Egret, Wattled Crane, Lesser Jacana and a host of eagles, vultures, raptors and kingfishers to be seen. There is also an abundance of good game including red lechwe, antelope, lion, hyena and leopard. It also boasts the highest density of the rare and elusive sitatunga antelope found anywhere in the Okavango Delta.
