Zambia Attractions and Destinations
Immerse yourself in Zambia, a country of mighty waters. Canoe along the Zambezi River; join a Zambia safari to the famous lakes and the most famous of waterfalls, Victoria Falls. Walking Safaris in South Luangwa National Park offers unbeatable wildlife in Africa. This is untouched Africa.
This exciting land was once called 'darkest Africa' - this is where the famous explorer David Livingstone died. For nature lovers it is a land of mighty waters. Explore on a canoe, walk through big game reserves or jump off the Victoria Falls - with a bunjy of course!
Victoria Falls
This is the most famous of the mighty waters and shared by neighboring Zimbabwe. In the C19th, the local Kololo tribe, called the Victoria Falls "the smoke that thunders", as their immense scale was so breathtaking. At the height of the wet-season five hundred and fifty million cubic metres of Zambezi river waters roar over the edge of a basalt cliff into the dramatic gorge over one hundred metres below.
This area is becoming known for adventure-sports. White-water rafting and bungy jumping are both available for those seeking an adrenaline rush. Or you can simply take a relaxing canoe trip. There is an excellent craft village nearby where you can buy beautiful green malachite which the Zambians use to create intricate jewellery. Wood carvings and other curios and crafts can be bought or or even bartered for.

Lower Zambezi National Park and South Luangwa National Park
These two parks are both excellent for game viewing. The Lower Zambezi is a wonderful wildlife wilderness area where you can enjoy a tranquil, close-up wildlife experience on a canoe safari. Created in 1938, South Luangwa is green and fertile and boasts lush rainforest near the banks of the Luangwa River.
Both parks have populations of wildlife; hippos, buffalo and elephant . The big predators are also here, including elusive leopard plus there is an amazing concentration of bird life. Zambia is terrific for walking safaris - scouts are armed and highly skilled. This is the place to try for a closer look at flora and fauna.

Lake Tanganyika
In the north lies Lake Tanganyika, the second deepest lake in the world. The waters at the bottom of the lake never mix with the upper so it is thought that they may may have lain there for twenty million years.
Lake Kariba
In the south, Lake Kariba, is a vast lake created by what was once the largest ever man-made dam. The lake contains one of the best game fish available to the angler, the tiger fish, whose strength and courage make for an exhilarating contest.
 Recommendations for Visiting Zambia
by Cindi LaRaia
Zambia is the new kid on the block in terms of new camps and great open expanse of wild land and game! This country is the least traveled! Zambia is a vast country, friendly and peaceful, and offers superb wildlife and cultural experiences. Very few towns and agriculture here so the plains and parks are very large and open for all the animals to roam. There are several wonderful river areas to visit; Zambezi, Kafue, Luanga, and the mighty Victoria Falls!
Zambia is renowned for the walking safaris and offers the best in Africa! Accommodation is great and diverse as well as the wildest and remote game, Zambia has huge concentrations of numbers of black and red lechwe.

The Lower Zambezi for the adventurer and adrenaline junkies like me! Challenging canoeing among the herds of Hippo, crocodile, and elephant. White water rafting on the Zambezi closer to Livingstone, bungee jumping, micro light flights over the great Victoria Falls as well as helicopter flights.
We create itinerates here that offer a flying circuit to the different areas, a great holiday safari with relaxing and exhilarating opportunities!
