Kusini is a permanent tented camp in Tanzania's famous Serengeti National Park. Situated on a rock outcrop, a kopje, the camp is specifically created to have only minimal impact on the delicate eco-system. As the only camp in this area of the Serengeti guests are afforded the rare opportunity for private game drives and intimate walking encounters. The site affords stunning panoramas of the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets and is ideal for bush meals with a view.
The Serengeti is probably most famous for its annual wildebeest migration and the camp is located in the path of this amazing natural phenomenon. Lion, leopard and cheetah are almost daily sightings, and these are appreciated all the more readily without the competition from other visitors that this camp avoids.
Each of the nine beautifully-decorated tents features private shower room and terrace overlooking the plains. Gather for meals and safari stories in the dining tent, which also features a well-stocked library, lounge and verandah. Enjoy a picturesque bush breakfast or a reviving "sundowner" at cocktail hour, whilst spotting for plains game. The guides at Kusini have been born and raised among Africa's wildlife and people and their knowledge and experience is immense, enhancing your one-of-a-kind safari experience.
