Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by a member of our &Beyond team and transferred by road to The Emakoko, in Nairobi National Park. Kenya’s capital is one of the largest and most influential cities in Africa, an important commercial and financial regional hub. It is the port of entry for most travellers to Kenya and offers bustling markets, interesting history and numerous attractions. Named after a Maasai watering hole, “enkare nyarobi”, which means “place of cool waters”, Nairobi is known for its leafy streets and parks. The skyline, with towering skyscrapers and imposing architecture also draws the attention of every arrival to the city. Not-to-be-missed is a visit to the city’s beautiful Uhuru Park.

Spend 1 night at The Emakoko. Your stay includes accommodation,all meals, 2 game drives two shared airport transfers (JKIAiport& Wilson Airport), soft drinks , beer, non -premium wine, internet access, excursions to Giraffe Center and /or David Sheldrock Wildlife Trust (time permitting. all entrance account direct) and laundry.

Days 2 - 5: Laikipia

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Nanyuki Airport. On arrival, you will be met by your Samburu team from Karisia Walking Safari and you will be taken to the starting point of your four days walking safari through the Laikipia and Samburu District in North central Kenya.

Days 6 - 7: Masai Mara

After breakfast, you will be driven to the local airstrip for your scheduled flight to Masai Mara. On arrival, you will be met by a representative from &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp and transferred to the lodge.

The Masai Mara is Kenya’s most renowned game park and forms the northern extension of the Serengeti. Its legendary Great Migration, of over two million wildebeest and other antelope, has been described as one of nature’s greatest wildlife spectacles ― and an experience every safari enthusiast should witness at least once in their lifetime. Game viewing in this celebrated park is wonderful all round the year, with virtually guaranteed sightings of the Big Five. The park takes its name from the Mara River, which flows through the reserve, and the Maasai people, a tribe whose red dress and proud demeanourr have ensured they are probably Kenya’s best-known (and most-photographed) people).

Day 8: Departure

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Wilson Airport. On arrival at Wilson Airport, you will go on an informative tour of Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Centre & The Daphne Sheldrick Tour before being transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your outbound flight.
